Can I use my gift card more than once?

Yes, you can use your card as many times as you wish up the full balance on the card.

Can I reload/top up the card?

No, you can only load money on the card at time of purchase.

When does my card expire?

For cards issued on or after 2 December 2019

Your gift card and any money loaded onto the card will cease to be valid on the date which is five years following the date of issue of the card. – this is referred to as the “expiry date”. On that date, the card will cease to function and you will not be entitled to use the card as a means of payment. In some cases, the Valid Thru date on your card may differ to the actual date of expiry of your Gift Card. If you wish to confirm the actual expiry date please visit the sales point in Bridgewater Shopping Centre or call 0818 313 040. Once your card has expired any remaining funds are unable to be spent. You are not entitled to any redemption of the card balance.

For cards issued prior to 2 December 2019

My card has expired, how should I dispose of it?

Cut the card in two ensuring that you cut through the magnetic strip at the back of the card.

My card has no funds left on it, how should I dispose of it?

Importantly, do not dispose of the card until you are sure you will not require it for refunds on any of the items you have purchased with the card. When you do wish to dispoase of it, cut the card in two ensuring that you cut through the magnetic strip at the back of the card.

Can I reclaim any funds when the card expires?

If your card was purchased after 30th April 2011, you can bring your card to the centre where it was purchased, within 6 years of the expiry date, and they will issue you with a replacement card. Please see Terms and Conditions for replacement card fees. If your card was purchased before this, you can reclaim any unspent funds from your gift card by writing to us within 90 days of the expiry date on your card, ensuring you include the card with your claim. An administration charge of €8 will apply to each balance reclaim. A cheque payment equal to the remaining balance (less the administration charge) will be issued within 14 days of the end of the ninety day period. You can download a claim form by clicking here.

Is the card a credit card?

No. your gift card is a MasterCard® Prepaid Card, issued under licence from MasterCard. That is, there is no credit available and you only spend what you load at the time of purchase.

Can it be used in ATMs?

No, It cannot be used in ATMs and there is no cash back facility.

What happens if I lose the card?

Please bring your original purchase receipt to the centre that you purchased the card, and they will put any remaining funds onto a replacement card unless the cost of the replacement is greater than the balance. Please see Terms and Conditions for replace card costs.

Can I report the card as stolen?

Yes, please inform us if your card has been stolen by calling nationalcall 0818 313 040, 24 hours per day national call rates apply, or in the UK lo-call 0845 602 9715, 24 Hours per day, local rates apply.

Why did I have to give my name and address details when I purchased the card?

Current EU regulations require that the name and address details must be collected for orders in excess of €125 and that, for orders in excess of €500, official photo identification, such as a drivers license or passport, must be presented at time of purchase.
